The man in the middle for Wednesday's Champions League clash in Turin

Alejandro Hernandez will referee Juventus vs PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old Spaniard has been a FIFA referee since 2014 and has officiated in a number of high-profile matches, including the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 Copa America.

Hernandez is known for being a strict disciplinarian and has no hesitation in brandishing cards.

He has already shown 33 yellow cards in 12 matches this season, as well as three reds.

Hernandez will be assisted by compatriots Juan Carlos Yuste Jimenez and Roberto Alonso Fernandez.

The fourth official will be Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea.

VAR will be used in the match, with Juan Martinez Munuera as the video assistant referee.

Juventus will be looking to make a winning start to their Champions League campaign after finishing runners-up last season.
