McMichael Hospitalized With Urinary Tract Infection

CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Bears great Steve McMichael, who is battling ALS, was hospitalized Thursday because of a urinary tract infection, a spokesperson said.
The 65-year-old McMichael was admitted unconscious with sepsis and was placed on a ventilator, the spokesperson said. His condition was not immediately known.
McMichael, a defensive tackle, played for the Bears from 1981 to 1993 and was a member of the team's Super Bowl XX championship team. He was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, in 2017.
