Less than a year after the first season of Amazon's TV series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power first aired, there are now plans afoot to reboot The Lord Of The Rings film franchise, too. Here's everything we know so far about the new LOTR movies and TV shows on the horizon...

The fires of Mount Doom are starting to glow again, as Warner Bros. has confirmed that more Lord of the Rings films are in development. Peter Jackson directed the original Lord of the Rings films, which were released between 2001 and 2003. The films were a critical and commercial success, grossing over $2.9 billion worldwide. A prequel trilogy, The Hobbit, was released between 2012 and 2014.
